Kelly
Garrett was the smooth, streetwise angel, who was a sharp
gun shooter and an excellent karate chopper, sometimes dressed in
a revealing bikini. Kelly was also sensitive and the most
gentle of the three Angels. And she was according to my opinion
also the most elegant Angel!
Kelly Garrett
(the "sensitive angel" and grown as an orphan girl) was played by Breck
shampoo and commercials model Jaclyn Smith. With
Cheryl Ladd she rates as the
most popular angel and she is absolutely my favourite Angel.
She is far and away the most beautiful and elegant of the Angels
and remains so to this day. Jaclyn was considered the most beautiful
woman of America.
Initially, Kate
Jackson was
intended to play Kelly Garrett, but at the last minute she
decided to switch to the (to her) more challenging role of
Sabrina Duncan as outlined in the pilot script by legendary
Hollywood screenwriters Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts. Jaclyn Smith
was the one Angel who lasted for the show's entire five-year run.
Actress Jaclyn
Smith had class, poise and elegance. She is in my opinion the
most beautiful and most elegant woman, whom I ever saw! Jaclyn
Smith: Lovely, classy, elegant, kind, warm, religious, totally
likeable, Queen of TV Miniseries, successful business woman...
Who would not want a woman like she?

Jaclyn Smith
Biography
Jaclyn Smith is
one of the world's most accomplished women. For more than
three decades, she has held the public's interest as an award
winning Actress, Designer, and Role Model. She manages her
life and legendary career with grace and style.
Despite her
many accomplishments, Jaclyn's first priorities are her family.
Being a daughter, mother, and wife continue to be the most
important elements of her life. A native of Houston, Texas, our favorite
green-eyed Angel was born 26 October 1947. Jaclyn
studied ballet from the age of three. It is perhaps her
dancer's sense of balance which keeps the many facets of her
life in harmony.
Jaclyn studied drama at Trinity University
and she was soon cast in productions of Bye-Bye Birdie,
West Side Story and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
While in New York, an agent believed her classic beauty made
her a natural for television cameras and Jaclyn Smith soon
came into American homes as the Breck Girl. Relationships with
Max Factor, Wella Balsam, and many leading corporations
followed.
Hollywood
beckoned Jaclyn with a contract at Paramount Studios and
before long she was appearing in television programs and
feature films.
Jaclyn's first
film breaks were in The Adventurers and The
Bootleggers. Early in her
career Smith got bit parts on The Rookies (starring Kate
Jackson) and Get Christie Love and had
recurring roles on McCloud and Switch.
In 1975, she
auditioned for a new show called Charlie's Angels and
won the role of Kelly Garrett, for which she is
best known. Although she was the only Angel
to last all five years of the series, Jaclyn was already
making a new name for herself as "the Queen of miniseries".
One of her earliest films was The Users (with John
Forsythe), and she continued her miniseries career after Charlie's
Angels closed the office in 1981. Jaclyn won critical and
audience acclaim in such television films as: George
Washington, Rage of Angels and Jacqueline
Bouvier Kennedy. In 1989, she returned to television with
the short lived series, Christine Cromwell. Although
the series did not last, Jaclyn has continued to work in
television films.
She has since
launched a successful clothing line at Kmart stores and
continues to delight audiences as one of the reigning queens
of the made-for-TV movie.
She played the
title role in 1981's highly successful Jacqueline Bouvier
Kennedy, Sally Fairfax in the famed mini-series George
Washington (1984) and in 1988 the TV Movie The Bourne Identity
(with Richard Chamberlain), my favourite Jaclyn
mini-series. In 2000
Jaclyn starred in Navigating the
Heart,
a Lifetime TV movie.
She stays busy
working on her very successful Kmart signature
collection. Jaclyn has survived three marriages and has two
children, Gaston and Spencer Margaret. She married 11th
October 1997 Dr. Brad Allen at an intimate ceremony held in West United Methodist Church in Los
Ángeles. She has become a semi-regular on CBS's The
District. Jaclyn Smith
has a reputation as one of the sweetest, nicest, most
cooperative women in Hollywood.
Jaclyn is the
mother of two (Gaston-Anthony and Spencer-Margaret) and lives in
Beverly Hills (Southern California) with her husband Dr. Bradley
Allen, a leading pediatric cardio-thoracic surgeon.
Allen met his wife he
said, while on a surgical team operating on her father at UCLA.
By the way, Jaclyn is nine years older than Bradley.
Jaclyn Smith is
not only beautiful outside, but inside too. Jaclyn is a
religious woman, a woman with values. She grew up in a religious home in Houston,
Texas, in a "Sunday school atmosphere". Her grandfather
was Methodist minister Gaston Hartsfield, and she used to help
him recite long passages from the Bible when his eyesight started
failing.
