The Weekend of 1-2-3 of September was held one of the biggest European festivals, the Ritorno A Camelot / Return to Camelot, that arrived to his 4th edition. The event has held in camping of a village in the north of Venice, Italy, in the Rovine lake and organized by the Veneto Fronte Skinheads Cultural Association and the Unione Skinhead Girl Italia (USGI).
We arrived there after a trip by car trough the north of Italy, and after taking
the indicated exit, we followed the cardboard signals that said “Camelot 88”
arriving to the camping at the 21:30. There was some police there, but they do
not stopped the cars or made searches with rude manners like the Spanish police
use to do. The festival was opened on Friday, September 1. around 10am. At 11
o'clock, a conference took place, followed by the presentation of Ritorno a
Camelot at 5:30am. The bands started playing around 8pm.
After entering in the 10.000 m2 compound we went to the camping area, and once we had assembled the tent we pay the tickets (40 € for 3 days, including concerts, breakfasts, use of showers, swimingpool etc) and crossed the “security chek point” that included metal detectors and that lasted during all the festival to enter in the concert and canteen.
As we entered in the concert area at
23:00 we couldn’t see the performance of Dolomia, La Peggio Gioventu´,
Generazione 80, Strapo, Stevie (Son of Skrewdriver) and Legittima Offesa, but we
saw ARMCO playing their songs as well as covers of Peggior Amicco. There we
found some comrades of Spain and others that we met, in total we were 30
Spaniards there or so.
Next morning when we awake we saw the beauty of the place, in a valley
surrounded by mountains and next to a lake. We made a tour trough all the areas
of the enclosure that consisted in two camping areas, the concerts tent, the
canteen tent, a tattoo tent, swimingpool, place for children, a pub, swings for
the children, a pier next to the lake, and some wooden huts.
At 11:30 started the first activity of the day, the “Conmemorazione” that
consisted in a march at 3 line headed by the flags of Italy, Germany, Spain and
Veneto Fronte Skinheads, from the concert tent to the pier, where a garland was
trown to the lake at the same time that thousand of throats shouted “Present!”
in memory of our fallen comrades, a shout that resounded in all the valley.
We ate the very popular “Gnocchi” and rested till the start of the afternoon conferences, making a visit to the swimingpool were a group of Germans with their childs settled during all the afternoon. We must highlight that in this event there were many families with their children, giving an image of normality far away of what the mass media says about this events only for xenofobic ultraviolent skinheads.
At 15:30 started the conferences, but it was only in Italian language, so we
stayed only during the first part.
Speeches were held till 18:45 by: Prof. Umberto Malafronte, Enzo Gipriano,
Gabriele Adinolfi, Andrea Miglioranzi, Roberto Bussinello, Luigi Ciavardini,
Piero Puschiavo, Manuel Negri, Luca Romagnoli, Maurizio Boccacci etc.
Then we went to the stalls of material, were different organizations sold books,
mags, t-shirts, shirts, sweaters etc. Some of the organizations that had a stall
there were the Veneto Fronte Skinheads, USGI, Fiamma Tricolore, B&H España, and
628 a new italian clothing brand.

At 19:00 started the concerts. The big tent where the concerts took place was
decorated with banner of different organizations like B&H Rumania, B&H España,
B&H East London, B&H Croacia, Casa Pound, WAU España, Skinheads Hungria and
diffrent sections of the VFS.
First band to play were the young lads from Roma, ‘The Bombers’ in front of 300
persons. Next band was Ultimátum, that played a hard heavy metal and next the
most awaited performance of the night by the Spanish contingent, the spanish
band ‘Mas Que Palabras’ that did a good performance in spite of the fact that
they only had 30 minutes to play.
We only see half of the act of Ultima Frontiera as we were dinning, but we
arrived at time to see the full performance of the German band ‘Faust’ formed by
members of Noie Werte and Kraftschlag.
There were some bands announced for the Saturday but finnaly they didn’t play: Blitkrieg, Mistreat and ZetaZeroAlfa.
A
band that did play, to the joy of the public was the English band Warlord, that
played many covers of Skrewdriver. When they started to play in the concert tent
there were more than 2.000 persons. Next band were the Italians SPQR that played
two covers that make everybody sing: ‘Fare Quadrato’ from Londinium SPQR and
‘Come il Vento’ from Intolleranza. At the middle of their performance they
stopped as there was a firework exhibition in the lake during 25 minutes with a
great variety of effects.
Noie Werte from Germany took the relif, and to end the night played Gesta
Bellica, that did one of the best performances of all the festival. They invited
people from the crowd to sing, so one german played a cover of ‘Deutschland’
from Skrewdriver, an english other cover of Skrewdriver, and a group of Spanish
sung ‘No Pasaran’. At 3:30 ended the concerts and we went to sleep.
Next Monday we have to go to Venice to take the plane back home so we couldn’t
attend to any of the Sunday activities.
In our opinion this event was a complete success. The bands were very well
selected and there was an optimal amount of variety. And also the costs were
acceptable. We must highlight the perfect organization, formed of more than 120
persons (including the security, people in the canteen, in the bar, etc) where
comrades of Italy, Germany, England, Spain, Chezc Republic, Slovenia, Poland,
Switzerland, Greece, Norway, Finland, Australia, and even a skinhead from Asia,
baptized as “skinhead Singapur”, joined together without any incident.

STATEMENT FROM VENETO FRONTE SKINHEADS
RETURN TO CAMELOT
The Cultural Association Veneto Fronte Skinheads sincerely thanks all the
comrades who have attended the 4 edition of Ritorno a Camelot. Your presence and
your cooperation, booth respectful of the spirit of the party, have helped us in
the perfect success of the happening, and permitted us to exceed plentifully the
presence of the past edition, although they were rather valid. We would like to
thank the camping’s administrators who have been very kind, open-minded without
prejudice.
A special praise goes to the committee
promoter for its honour and its worth, to the Security and Staff members, (comrades
from Piave, from Udine, from U.S.G.I above all). They have permitted everything
to go right with their sacrifice, their patience, their willingness, and last
their cleverness. We don’t forget the comrades from Torino and from Roma who
have stoically shared not only the hard work and the stress, but also laughter
and satisfactions.
We want to thank all the European and extra European delegations who have taken
part at the Camelot: English, Spanish, German, Croatian, French, Hungarian,
Rumanian, Greek, Finnish, and so on till who came from the far Australia just to
be here.
A sincere appreciation goes to the Italian realities that have chosen to be
present in harmony with our initiative: specially comrades from OSA, Casa Pound,
and Fiamma Roma; together we have renewed a human friendship, and we hope it
will be harbingers of fruits in the future.
A fraternal greeting to the numerous skinheads from Sardegna, Abruzzo, Reggio Calabria, Catanzaro, Puglia, Sicilia who have sustained never-ending journey just to share moments that, willy-nilly, will remain in the history of the Italian skinhead movement, as the past editions of return to Camelot.
Finally we want to thank the speakers
of the various conferences who have presented us their willingness; thanks to
the numerous bands alternated on the stage during two nights that have done
their bit to give our party the qualification
Hoping that the 4 return to Camelot will be a full stop to start out again with a brotherhood in everlasting progress, we hope to see you all more than ever within 5 years at the next edition.
Cheer up!

Ritorno a Camelot 2006, Italy, September 1.-3.
The sun was shining in a clear sky on a lovely lake and to nationalist music. It
was in Venice, Italy, where the Ritorno a Camelot took place, primarily
supported by the Veneto Fronte Skinheads and drawing an audience of comrades
from Germany, England, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic,
Croatia, etc. The festival was opened on Friday, September 1. around 10am. At 11
o'clock, a conference took place, followed by the presentation of Ritorno a
Camelot at 5:30am. The bands started playing around 8pm. On Friday, following
bands were presented:
Dolomia
La Peggio Gioventu
Generazione 80
Strappo
Stenie
Legittima Offesa
Armco
On Saturday, speeches were held from 15:30 to 18:45 by:
Prof. Umberto Malafronte, Enzo Gipriano, Gabriele Adinolfi, Andrea Miglioranzi,
Roberto Bussinello, Luigi Ciavardini, Piero Puschiavo, Manuel Negri, Luca
Romagnoli, Maurizio Boccacci etc.
On Saturday, following bands were playing (beginning around 7pm):
The Bombers (Switzerland
Ultimatum (Italy)
Mas Que Palabras (Spain)
Ultima Frontiera (Italy)
Faust (Germany)
Warlord (England)
SPQR (Italy)
Noie Werte (Germany)
Gesta Bellica (Italy)
Blitzkrieg and Mistreat didn't play at Ritorno a Camelot, although previously
announced. Though it was a pity, after listening to the bands playing there, the
disappointment got weaker among the crowd and the audience welcomed the bands
playing. To me, Mas Que Palabras from Spain was a new acquaintance, who showed
some serious skill in rocking out, especially appreciated by the Spanish
comrades. Faust played songs from the old and new CD, I liked them very much, a
cool band. I don't think I need to say anything about Warlord, everyone who was
there or who watches the video will know how much it ruled. Ultima Frontiera was
the highlight of the event for me. I saw them play a few times live (among
others, at the ISD Memorial, Switzerland), but at this concert, hell's been set
loose when they've been announced. Simply ingenious. I don't really have to say
more about the other bands, I liked them all who played on Saturday. About
Friday, I can't say anything unfortunately, since we've only arrived on Saturday
in the morning. Among the bands and the orators there was a skilled tattooist
present. There were also a great range of CDs, clothes, pins, books, etc. On the
campsite, everything was supplied to the visitors, except the toilet paper -
there was a permanent lack of that. Just like at the Tuono Records Festival, the
food was delicious and there were plenty of drinks available. On Sunday,
breakfast (coffee and a sandwich) was free, which in my opinion was a very nice
gesture.
In Conclusion:
The bands were very well selected,
there was an optimal ammount of variety. The costs were acceptable, one met
comrades from nearly all of Europe, the visitor count was also nice with the
event counting over 1000 comrades at the festival. The location was well chosen,
there were cool fireworks. The journey to the location was as usual: sometimes
fun, sometimes annoying. The installation was wicked, after the festival I was
hearing a permanent buzzing
Again, big thanks to Italy, the festival was superbly organized.
